Lifted from the group’s forthcoming debut album, Live At The Forum.

Since first forming in 2016, Melbourne Indie Voices has become a revelation. What began as a weekly drop-in session with 20 singers in tow, has quickly grown to become a 240-piece collective that sold out two shows at The Forum just last year.

With the release of their first album Live At The Forum on the horizon, Melbourne Indie Voices are set to lift the lid on their debut single, ‘The Seed’. The group has become known for their incredible renditions of indie classics, and with ‘The Seed’, Melbourne Indie Voices take on the popular 2019 track from acclaimed Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA.

The video for the track was released in August and has attracted over 80,000 YouTube views since then. It also drew the praise of AURORA herself.

“This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen with my heart,” AURORA said of the video. “Yes I cried a little. Yes I peed a little. This is just wonderful. I don’t think I can imagine anything more beautiful than a group of people standing together. Singing a song for the earth. Thank you so much for this.”

Melbourne Indie Voices will be releasing a track a week until the release of Live At The Forum on Friday December 4. Expect to hear guest appearances from the likes of Jen Cloher and Mark Lang over the coming weeks before the full record comes to light.

Give the new track a listen below.

‘The Seed’ is out on Friday October 2. For more on Melbourne Indie Voices, check out their website, Facebook and Instagram.
