Following on from his debut album, Tales Surround The Lighthouse Lamp, in 2016, J M S Harrison has released Afterglow, the first taste from his forthcoming follow-up album. The track is laced with textural layers of guitar and an upbeat vibe. Afterglow features Harrison’s good friend Cabin Inn on guitar, with the pair teaming up again following their Split 7” released last year.

The album’s title and release date are yet to be announced but will provide a “full band sound”  and see Cabin Inn featuring heavily throughout. All ten tracks were recorded at Crosstown Studios with the help of Joshua Whitehead, who worked on the pair’s split record in 2016.

Alongside the single, J M S Harrison has released a film clip for Afterglow, filmed by Harrison’s good friend and videographer, Blaqpop. The video clip features Harrison and Cabin Inn playing their guitars around St Kilda Beach and in a sun-filled field to match the light, summery vibe of the track. The video clip also offers a glimpse of the remnants of Luke Steel’s broken guitar, which were salvaged from the crowd after being thrown into the audience at an Empire of the Sun concert.

Bask in the warmth of Afterglow and let it whisk you away to sunnier days.
