Delivering her first single in three years, Chelsea Wilson reveals the release of her latest track, ‘Real Love’. The single sees the Melbourne based artist fusing early disco, pop, jazz and orchestration overlapped with sultry vocals, giving a taste of what is to come on her second album Chasing Gold.
The film clip for ‘Real Love’, directed by Jay Adshead, tells the story of two lovers separated by time and space. Filmed at Wilsons Promontory National Park, the clip takes inspiration from vintage Vogue desert photoshoots, the stunning Australian landscape and the work of Dutch designers Viktor and Rolf. Shot by Paul Hughes (Wentworth) using a 1970s anamorphic Japanese lens, the story is told through contemporary dance by dancers Anna Kallstrom and Anna Cerreto, featuring luscious costumes by emerging designer Alice Palermo.
To celebrate the launch of ‘Real Love’, Wilson will perform in BAD GIRLS DISCO as a feature event for Melbourne Music Week, where she will preview previously unheard tracks from her forthcoming album Chasing Gold. In the meantime, check out the film clip for ‘Real Love’ below.
