Special events and family appeal
Port Fairy Folk Festival is known for its unique special events, and 2025 is no exception. Highlights include:
- On The Couch, hosted by Rockwiz legend Brian Nankervis, offering intimate conversations and performances.
- A performance by the Find Your Voice Collective, celebrating the music of Joe Cocker.
- A Sunday night showcase by The Boite, featuring music from around the world.
The festival’s multi-generational appeal remains a strong drawcard. Program Director Justin Rudge noted, “We have audience members who have been coming to the Folkie since 1977! They brought their kids, and now those children have grown up and are bringing their own kids along. Port Fairy Folk Festival is a beautiful and wide-spanning multi-generational audience, and the 2025 program really celebrates this. From contemporary folk artists to the traditional masters, emerging voices to global touring legends, the next Festival over the March long weekend has something for all ages and music-loving stages of life.”
