The 45th iteration of the festival will welcome some of the best musicians from home and abroad to its sunny Victorian shores, including Baby et Lulu, the UK’s Jon Boden, Scotland’s Elephant Sessions, as well as a full bill of US artists including Courtney Marie Andrews and Eilen Jewell.

Additional US acts set to grace the coastal stage will be North Carolina’s Mandolin Orange and prolific blues artist Eric Bibb. Home-grown favourites including Weddings, Parties, Anything, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks and Kee-Ahn will be sure to bring the groove back to Port Fairy.

It’s been a tough year for music festivals across the board, but looking to the not-too-distant future, the festival’s program director Justin Rudge said he was “thrilled” to announce the 2022 line-up.

“We were ecstatic when our March Concert Series sold out within hours. It shows the thirst to experience live music in Port Fairy, with it’s extraordinary history, and the desire for audiences to return to our glorious seaside location to experience the best in music from around the world in the safest possible way,” he said.

“We can’t wait to welcome artists from around Australia and the world to Port Fairy in 2022 as things continue to improve with the pandemic. Announcing the festival a full 12 months in advance will provide audiences – both new and established – plenty of time to plan their festival experience.”

The Port Fairy Folk Festival will go down from March 11-12 2022. Tickets for subscribers to the festival will go on sale March 1 2021, with general sale opening on March 4. Find out more here.
