Australian psych-lords Pond have returned with their first new music since last year’s highly-acclaimed album, The Weather, today dropping the single ‘Burnt Out Star’.
‘Burnt Out Star’ is eight minutes of shimmering synth and swirling soundscapes, sounding somewhere between a ’90s video game and an intergalactic adventure. The single comes with a tour announcement for the band, who are now set to hit venues across North America where they’ll appear at Desert Daze Festival alongside fellow Australian acts Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
There’s no news of an Australian tour or a forthcoming album yet, but here’s hoping. Check out ‘Burnt Out Star’ below.
