He won’t be pulling the worthy phantom anytime soon and this is evident with his third release Babylon. This album is definitely out of the MC’s comfort zone with artists such as Jimmy Barnes and Sparkadia that give rise to a new world of pop/rock. Comparing Babylon to his other two albums, it sure is different. Not so much hip hop and a little more garage rock. I think this just proves that the songwriter can add flavour to any type of genre and somehow make it work. On the track Never Enough we get to hear Phrase belt out a tune over a Lennon-style piano unleashing yet another technique of excellence. A battle between mind-blowing lyrics, significant indie beats and some pretty wicked artwork, Babylon is unmistakably a mashed together musical masterpiece.
