The Magic Inside from Peter and Bambi Heaven is just too funny. The brainchild of Asher Treleaven and Gypsy Wood, the show arrives as a hilarious parody of amateur stage magic. Fusing in elements of variety song and dance acts, performance art and more, this show simply nails it.
Master illusionist Peter and former cage dancer Bambi Heaven are loved up, and have hit the big smoke to present the show that has rocked RSLs up and down the Gold Coast. A finely tuned machine, the show has previously been nominated for Best Cabaret at the 2015 Fringe World. It stands as something very unique within this year’s Comedy Festival, and is definitely worth a punt.
You’ve all seen the sincerely daggy wannabes of the stage world. Peter and Bambi couple all of the best cliches of magic performance and earnest choreography with as much spasm-inducing laughter as you could ask for. It’s endearing, funny and extremely inventive. The Ninja Wizard segment is a particular highlight, and nicely sets up the following act which you will never un-see. Without giving anything away, It’s something that just has to be seen.
The Magic Inside has been attracting accolades far and wide, and rightly so too. Its recent Comedy Festival incarnation is well worth watching.
