Melbourne’s iconic beachside music venue Palace Foreshore is set to make a triumphant return in 2025, announcing today that Grammy-winning DJ Honey Dijon will join an already impressive roster of international acts for its three-week program.

The addition of Dijon, fresh from her collaboration with Beyoncé on Renaissance, strengthens an eclectic lineup that includes Irish outfit Fontaines D.C., American rapper Denzel Curry, and British indie stalwarts The Kooks.

Running from 27 February to 16 March, the outdoor venue will transform the St Kilda Triangle – the space between the historic Palais Theatre and St Kilda Sea Baths – into a sun-drenched music playground overlooking Port Phillip Bay.

In a significant move for Melbourne’s cultural calendar, organisers have confirmed Palace Foreshore will become an annual fixture, with plans already in motion for 2026. The announcement cements St Kilda’s position as a cornerstone of Melbourne’s live music scene.

Curators Jay Rayner and Thomas Supple, whose credits include Dark Mofo and RISING, have assembled a program that spans genres from electronic to indie rock. “St Kilda does a lot of the work for us,” Rayner says. “We just send them photos of sunsets, crowds and the epic venue location and they’re super keen to come out.”

The Palace Foreshore experience extends well beyond music, with a carefully curated Street Eats precinct offering festival-goers a diverse range of culinary delights. Local favourites Wonder Pies serve up their signature indulgent pies, while Fritz’s Wieners brings authentic bratwurst sizzle to the shoreline.

Those craving American fare can sink their teeth into Smashville‘s Nashville-style burgers, or opt for Asian fusion with handcrafted dumplings from The Lil Dumpling Van. Sweet tooths aren’t forgotten, with Billy van Creamy‘s artisanal ice cream providing the perfect cool-down between sets, while Juicello offers refreshing beverage options.

Little Eutopia Brew Bar rounds out the offerings with gourmet toasties and quality coffee. All this can be enjoyed from the venue’s spacious grassed hill, where visitors can take in breathtaking Port Phillip Bay sunsets while fully stocked bars keep the festivities flowing.

The program kicks off with The Kooks on 27 February, supported by rising star Briston Maroney. UK electronic duo Maribou State follows on 28 February, bringing their textured, atmospheric sound to the foreshore setting.

March highlights include Denzel Curry’s innovative hip-hop, two nights with Mercury Prize and Grammy Awards nominees Fontaines D.C., Magdalena Bay’s eclectic and playful pop and Honey Dijon’s freshly announced headline set on 9 March. New Zealand stadium-fillers SIX60 round out the announced acts on 14 March.

Supple, a self-proclaimed St Kilda Football Club supporter, sees the project as a homecoming. “It lives large in my memory as the place where I had some of my earliest and most formative live music experiences,” he says.

The venture has garnered strong support from local institutions including Luna Park, the Palais Theatre, and St Kilda Sea Baths, alongside the City of Port Phillip council. This backing suggests Palace Foreshore is poised to become a pivotal player in Melbourne’s summer entertainment landscape.

With more acts yet to be announced and the promise of becoming a recurring summer highlight, Palace Foreshore appears set to write a new chapter in St Kilda’s rich musical history. Tickets for most shows are currently on sale, with organisers advising early booking for the rapidly selling Fontaines D.C. dates.

Tickets are now on sale for all shows except Honey Dijon, which will have a presale on Monday, Jan 20 at 10am and go on general sale the following day at noon. For more information on Palace Foreshore’s summer program and to buy tickets, head here.
