Opiuo is bringing his ‘Syzygy Orchestra’ show to Melbourne

After the roaring success of his debut ‘Syzygy Orchestra’ performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Opiuo has announced he’ll be bringing it all the way Down Under for an exclusive show in Melbourne.

The New Zealand-born funk-bass producer and performer crafted his monumental 20-piece ‘Syzygy Orchestra’ after the release of his EP Syzygy 01 in March, and premiered the lineup at the famed Colorado venue in April with support coming from Sunsquabi, Flamingosis and Anomalie.

“Performing with an orchestra has been a life-long musical dream. There’s an infinite power and succulent warmth that comes with organic vibrational matter, something that takes you off into a far off realm,” Opiuo says of the show.

“That, coupled with the power of electronic beats is such a powerful experience. I’ve worked on this show with some of the most talented classical musicians for longer than I can remember, and nothing makes me happier than bringing it home for a very special Melbourne performance.”
