The SLO MO tour coincides with the release of their new album, SLO MO, which is expected to resonate with fans who have been eagerly awaiting Australian headline shows since 2020. Each performance on this tour will feature a different setlist, ensuring a fresh experience for attendees.

Fresh off an extensive 37-show tour in Europe, Fat Freddy’s Drop is ready to rock the Australian autumn with their electrifying live show. Saxophonist Chopper Reeds expressed excitement about the new album, stating, “SLO MO is the strongest studio representation yet of a Freddy’s live show. It captures the undefinable Freddy’s sound. Usually we take the stage to the studio, and this time, we’re excited about taking our studio creation onto the stage.”

The first single from the album, Next Stop, is already making waves, described as a soul-soaked summer scorcher featuring toastmaster MC Slave on the mic.

Fat Freddy’s Drop has released several albums that have achieved commercial success, including their debut album Based on a True Story (2003), which was certified gold in New Zealand and reached number one on the New Zealand charts. Their follow-up album, Dr. Boondigga and the Big BW (2009), also topped the charts.

The band has gained a strong international following, performing at major music festivals worldwide, including Glastonbury, Coachella, and the Montreux Jazz Festival, showcasing their unique blend of reggae, soul, and dub to global audiences.
