OK Motels: Victoria’s clamtastic three-day summer festival unveils its first lineup

OK Motels
Words by Staff Writer

OK MOTELS' first line-up for 2024 is led by The Slingers, who are riding high on the success of their debut album, Sentimentalism.

Watty Thompson & his Total Fire Band will deliver their unique flavour of heartfelt country-folk melodies alongside Melbourne buzz band, The Belair Lip Bombs, with more artists to be announced. Adding an element of unbridled fun, Melbourne’s least-professional (but most clamtastic) feminist water ballet team, The Clams, will take to the pool.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

OK Motels takes place from Friday, the 23rd, to Sunday, the 25th of February, at a destination known as Paradise, but locally recognised as Charlton. With a strong emphasis on fostering community, OK MOTELS has become a highly anticipated and celebrated highlight on Victoria’s cultural calendar.

Under the Mallee full moon, a gathering of 500 soon-to-be friends will enjoy a jam-packed itinerary that spans from afternoon to evening. Attendees can look forward to Friendship Bingo hosted by Tell Your Friends You Love Them, and OKs classics such as bevvies, new friendships, ice cream, devonshire tea, mini golf, karaoke, car boot sales, artist markets, vintage stalls, barefoot bowls, big ol’ barbies and swimming pools for peak summer cool offs – all the ingredients for a bloody good time.

OK promises that by the end of your visit to the Friendly River Town, you’ll find yourself exclaiming, “Same time next year?”

Tickets are on sale now.
