The hill is calling. After a year away, NYE on the Hill, one of Victoria's most cherished boutique festival experiences, is officially coming back.
After taking a year off in 2025, NYE On The Hill has announced its return, and honestly? It couldn’t come soon enough.
The festival — a three-day, two-night camping and music celebration nestled in the rolling hills of South Gippsland near Loch Village — is set to bring its signature good vibes back for New Year’s Eve 2026/2027.
The announcement is short, sweet and very on brand: “We’re Back Baby!!” they took to socials this morning.

For the uninitiated, NYE On The Hill is the kind of festival that ruins all other festivals for you. Strictly capped at 3,000 attendees — big enough for a cracking lineup, small enough to actually find your mates — it sits about 95 minutes from Melbourne and has built a fiercely loyal following over more than a decade of New Year’s celebrations.
The last edition in 2023/2024 marked the festival’s 10th anniversary, with Ball Park Music and Alex Lahey headlining a stacked lineup that also included Beddy Rays, Gretta Ray, Hope D, The Dreggs, The Vanns, The Terrys, The Grogans and a swag of others across the bill. True to form, it sold out well in advance.
Over the years, the Hill has played host to an impressive roster of Australian talent; Sampa the Great, The Smith Street Band, The Living End, Regurgitator, Stella Donnelly, SAFIA, Hockey Dad, Northeast Party House and Pierce Brothers among the alumni.
The festival’s recipe hasn’t changed and doesn’t need to: free camping, BYO drinks, cocktail bars, stunning sunsets, field games, food, art installations, late-night dancing and a genuine community atmosphere that’s hard to replicate at a larger event.
Lineup and ticket details are yet to be announced, but if history is any guide, tickets will go fast; every previous edition has sold out ahead of the gates opening.
The Hill is happy again.
