Electro-pop queer icon NUSSY soars in her latest single.
With soaring vocals over the top of poppy electronic beats, NUSSY’s latest single Down To Earth is the dance anthem to add to all your summer playlists. Down To Earth was released this week across most streaming platforms, ahead of a tour that will see NUSSY heading to Melbourne’s own Night Cat for a performance on December 10.

Having previously performed at Music Matters Singapore, Canadian Music Week and Live At Heart Sweden and with over 25,000 streams across all her singles, NUSSY brings Down To Earth to life with all the energy of some of Europe’s finest DJs.
“I wanted it to feel ethereal and almost a bit spacey, I love space!” says NUSSY on Down To Earth. “When I started writing lyrics to the track, it felt so natural to write about connection.”
“I feel like as a creative, we often get viewed like we have our head in the clouds but I liked the idea that even though you might be creative in your experiences, you still have this innate feeling of wanting to be connected to something or someone that makes you feel grounded.”

Having bounced back into her musical career after a medical emergency, NUSSY approaches her musical journey with passion and confidence. “In 2017 I found out I had a cyst growing on my vocal folds which needed operating on,” NUSSY explains. “Thankfully it wasn’t a nasty one but it did need to be taken out.”
“My recovery was really slow but if it taught me anything, the way I missed making music and being able to sing my own songs was so heartbreaking to me, it really cemented that this was something I was born to do.”
