Bored on a Monday arvo? This Social Sanctuary session is your cure.
Northcote Social Club is set to host an all-ages, alcohol-free matinee Social Sanctuary event just in time for school holidays on Monday, September 23. The event will run from 2pm to 5pm, featuring live performances by Suzi, Ixaras, and Eaglemont.
Melbourne’s own Suzi will grace the stage with her emotionally charged indie performances. After transitioning from folk to leading a full band, Suzi has captivated audiences with her debut studio EP, I Hope You Can Hear Me Now, blending poignant lyrics with electrifying riffs and melodic flows.
Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.
Brisbane’s Ixaras, a rising star in the indie pop/rock scene, brings her youthful energy and self-expression to the afternoon lineup. At just 17, Ixaras is making waves with her DIY ethos and live performances.
Her recent achievements include sold-out headline shows, a QMA nomination and a notable feature in an ABC Docuseries. Her 2024 schedule includes a highly anticipated EP release, cementing her status as a rising star in the Australian music scene.
Melbourne’s Eaglemont, the jangle rock project of Bridg Jessop, is set to deliver an engaging and heartfelt set. Quickly making a name for themselves for blending witty lyrics with a raw, distortion-heavy sound and having toured with notable acts such as Ceres and Alex Lahey, Eaglemont’s live performances are not to be missed.
If you need any more convincing to spend your Monday afternoon at the Social Sanctuary, $2o parmas should be enough to get you across the line. Dedicated to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees, the venue is supported by Live Music Australia.
Free entry! So don’t miss this chance to experience some of Australia’s most exciting artists for school holidays.
