Newcomer HTMLflowers drops emotional debut album

HTMLflowers (Grant Gronewold) has released a deeply personal debut album entitled Chrome Halo. Partly recorded in a hospital, the LP explores Gronewold’s own struggles with Cystic Fibrosis and an unforgiving healthcare system.

Having grown up in America, HTMLflowers also draws on his experience of poverty, disability, and illness in the US, as well as his family’s move to Australia.

Collaborators Marcus Whale, Oscar Key Sung, Sui Zhen and Felicity Yang also feature on a number of tracks to round out the album.

HTMLflowers will be playing a special show at Boney in December to celebrate the album launch.

Chrome Halo is out now via Wondercore Island.
