The ’70s were a different time. It’s the era that gave as disco, funk, glam rock and more. Flares were an essential and Sandman panel vans were the way to get around in style. AC/DC reigned supreme and Molly Meldrum was at the top of his game.
Lo/Jo Live – a brand new micro festival – is set to bring back those glory days.
The festival will celebrate the sights, sounds and history of the decade by bringing together a collection of market stalls, merch, fashion, local food, art, films and bands to Melbourne.
As for the tunes, expect to get down with Kylie Auldist and Cook’n on 3 Burners with Stella Angelico and Fulton Street at The Tote.
Meanwhile, at The Bendigo Hotel, Two Headed Dog, Prehistoric Douche, and Redro Redriguez and His Inner Demons will hold down the ’70s riffs.
Capping it off comes family events that celebrate the community as a whole including children’s theatre and face painting, as well as some top-notch DJs to round it all out.
