Described as one of Australia’s most natural and intelligent comedians, Thomas tells it like it is. This self-professed tragic news junkie with a degree in politics is not only an award-winning performer, but also an author, health educator and star of Political Asylum. Thomas released her first DVD The Talk in 2013, a sexual health and ethics DVD for teens and their carers. In 2012 she released a popular and critically acclaimed book, What Women Want, which canvassed the big issues of the modern era: politics, education, sex, relationships, health, family and Beyoncé’s bottom. In the 11 years since winning the triple j national Raw Comedy competition in 2003, Thomas has directed the MICF’s Barry Award-winning Maria Bamford, performed nationally and overseas, established her own Melbourne comedy room, and created and toured several shows including the highly acclaimed and unique The No Means No Show.
