The production playfully probes at questions of identity and belonging and incorporates traditional circus such as aerial straps, handstands, juggling, tightwire and trapeze, as well as the likes of music, dance and drag.

Co-directors of Things NOT of this EARTH are former lead clown for Cirque du Soleil, Hayden Spencer, and previous NICA graduate Emma Serjeant.

The class of 14 students includes 20 year-old Maxine Gigliotti, who will perform a mixed tightwire and 2D animation piece, as well as former jazz and ballet performer from Sydney, Jordan Revell, who specialises in contortion. The NICA class have been in training 30 hours a week for the last three years and are tipped to go on to incredibly exciting circus careers upon graduation, both locally and internationally.
