Words by Staff Writer

Having spent much of 2023 touring with The Smith Street Band and DZ Deathrays, Melbourne four piece Press Club today announce a run of Australian shows to round out 2023.

Playing shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Queenstown this will be the first run of headline shows since the release of the band’s third album, Endless Motion which debuted at #3 on the AIR Independent Label chart, landed Album of the Week at Double J and was nominated for Best Independent Punk Album at this year’s AIR Awards.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

In addition to the explosive live performances Press Club will celebrate the one year anniversary of Endless Motion with two intimate screenings of The Endless Motion Documentary on Friday November 17 at Thornbury Picture House.

The 30 minute short film was filmed during the process of making the album, amongst the backdrop of the unprecedented COVID 19 outbreak. The doco highlights the band’s approach to their craft, how four friends came to find common artistic vision and what it means to be a musician whilst the world is crumbling around you.

Filmed by long time collaborator Nick Manuell, the documentary includes live performances of key tracks from the album recorded in uniquely barren but prominent live performance spaces around Naarm / Melbourne, of which the resulting audio was incorporated into the final studio versions that ended up on the album release.

Joining Press Club on the upcoming run of shows are LOSER, Mac The Knife and Placement. Tickets on sale now.
