The collective was started by audiologist Siobhan McGinnity (Sons of Rico) after she did some volunteer work in Cambodia assisting hearing impaired orphans. So moved by the experience, McGinnity returned home determined to do more to help. She then called on some talented friends, including Terry Mann (Coach Bombay), Perrin Date (Bayou) and Laura Imbruglia, and Musicians for Hearing was born.
The collective’s first fundraising event is a mega gig at the Gas that boasts a lineup featuring Fraser A. Gorman, ALTA, LANKS, with more to be announced.
