One Song: The Music of Archie Roach will assemble an all-star collection of performers in tribute to one of Australia's greatest artists.
An evening of song and storytelling at Arts Centre Melbourne’s resplendent Hamer Hall alongside some of the country’s most decorated artists, One Song will celebrate the enormous legacy of Gunditjamara (Kirrae Whurrong/Djab Wurrung), Bundjalung Senior Elder, song man and storyteller, Archie Roach AC AM, as part of the MSO’s NAIDOC Week program.

An international Human Rights Achievement Award winner, trailblazer for First Nations artists and one of the most profound storytellers in Australian history, Roach occupies a singular place in the Australian artistic landscape. One Song was Roach’s final single, he described it as a “lullaby for humanity” that appeared on his career-spanning 44-song collection, My Songs: 1983–2021.
Rachael Maza AM, Artistic Director of ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, will direct the live concert featuring Dan Sultan, Emma Donovan, William Barton, Jess Hitchcock, and more, while Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO will conduct the Dhungala Children’s Choir.
