Doggie Night is back at Melbourne’s Moonlight Cinema on Sunday January 16.

Doggie Night returns to Melbourne’s Moonlight Cinema on Sunday January 16.

Pooches are invited to bring their people to the Ford Fiesta Moonlight Cinema in the Royal Botanic Gardens, for a night of howling good cinema under the stars.

The featured film is the animated hit Despicable Me, which is about criminal mastermind Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), who is planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. Stealing the moon!

Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, Gru vanquishes all who stands in his way. That is, until he meets his biggest challenge yet: three little orphaned girls.

Ticket prices for this open-air event range from $14-$18, or you can splash out on a Gold Class luxury ticket for $33, which includes entry, a reserved beanbag in a premium roped off area on the lawn, and a glass of wine.

Book online now at moonlight.com.au or you can purchase at the gate from 7pm.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them. No chocolate or macadamia nuts can be taken into the venue on Doggie Night as they are poisonous for dogs.

Remember to bring a drinking container and plenty of water for your pet. You can purchase drinks and food from the venue, or BYO picnic.

You’d be barking mad to miss this event!
