If your ideal weekend consists of munching on hunks of flame-grilled meat and washing it down with craft beer, then guess what? It’s your freaking lucky day.
On November 4 and 5, Preston’s Moon Dog World brewery is throwing a Beer and BBQ bash. The entire venue and brewery floor will be taken over by the celebration, with market stalls, cooking demos and enough meat to satisfy a small village.

Indulge in an oversized plate of American BBQ straight from the grill – ribs, snags, burgers, brisket and all the fixings, made with Lane’s BBQ rubs and sauces– and finish it off with a pint of Mood Dog lager or ale, brewed on site.

There will also be beer school where you can learn what goes into your favourite froffs, live cooking demonstrations to give you a little inspiration for your next sesh on the grill and even a barbershop by Beefs Barbers if you’re in need of a little trim.
For those who are feeling especially ravenous, there will be a burger eating competition where punters can take on the notorious Colossal Burger for the chance to win a $200 prize. Make sure to enter in advance if you’re up for the challenge. Entertainment for the weekend will be provided by the one and only Jungle Jim Smith.
Once you’re well and truly full (it’s never a good idea to shop on an empty stomach) check out the marketplace to buy BBQ meats, accompaniments and utensils from The Que Club, Traeger, Big Vic Deli, Cut Throat Knives, Dillicious Pickles, Melbourne Jerky, Uncle Mungos, Old Bones Chilli Co, Aus Hot Honey, Ivy’s Chilli & Garlic Oil and a whole bunch more.
