Moomba Festival this weekend on the banks of the Yarra.
The Moomba Festival, one of Melbourne’s most loved events, returns this year to the banks of the Yarra River. This year’s festival will feature some of Australia’s best indie and alternative acts.
Artists such as Stonefield, Jinja Safari, The Audreys, ILLY, Lisa Mitchell and Dan Kelly will be gracing the stages of the four day festival. Festival goers can also enjoy the eclectic tunes of the DJs at the Silent Disco. For those not in the know, the Silent Disco is a dance floor where people dance to songs being transmitted to their wireless headphones. To the onlooker it seems as if the disco is silent but to the people on the floor, they’re all dancing to the same beat.
The Cultural Quarter will be playing Afghan, African and Arabian music while The Beats Stage will showcase emerging talent.
