Let Them Eat Cake has revealed its 2027 lineup, and Melbourne's New Year's Day institution is stacked this time.
Let Them Eat Cake rolls into The Nursery in Flemington on 1 January, and the top of the bill leans heavily international. French techno figure Anetha, German electronic mainstay Boys Noize and UK pair Joy Orbison and Ewan McVicar are all making the trip, alongside New Zealand house duo Chaos in the CBD.

The local roster is where the festival really flexes. Jennifer Loveless, Wax’o Paradiso, Partiboi69, Denim, Dean Turnley, Juicy Romance, Shanti, Soul Wun, Trustee, Mikalah Watego and William Kiss are all on deck, with C.Frim & Mirasia adding to the homegrown count. UK selector Kirollus and Aotearoa’s Lady Shaka extend the overseas contingent, while a special guest sits at the bottom of the poster waiting to be named.
Let Them Eat Cake NYD 2027 continues a run that has made the event a fixture of the Melbourne festival calendar for well over a decade, built around the union of electronic music, art and design across a single New Year’s Day session. Its long-running home was the heritage grounds of Werribee Park, though recent editions have seen the festival shift sites, and 2027 marks its move to The Nursery in Flemington.
The sounds across the day stretch from techno and house through to garage, breaks and disco, in step with a program that has never boxed itself into one lane. With 19 acts already locked and a special guest yet to land, the bill ranks among the deepest the festival has assembled, and the northside setting gives it plenty of room to move.
Presale tickets go on sale 17 September at 12pm. Sign-ups for first access are open now, so anyone chasing an early ticket can register ahead of the general on-sale and get in before the good releases disappear.
