Monique Dimattina: Stella Unplugged

Acclaimed Australian pianist, composer and singer/songwriter Monique diMattina presents an unplugged version of her new project ‘STELLA: The Miles Franklin Story’.

With the musical still in development, her Kew Court House show is an abridged concert version of the major work, shared in an intimate unplugged style.

Featuring Monique diMattina on piano, ukelele and vox, with Rebecca Barnard’s vocals and Sam Lemann on guitar, the work-in-progress show brings audiences on a biographical journey through Stella Miles Franklin’s story.

“While this major work is in development, I’m really excited to share pieces of it to an intimate gathering of music, literary and Australian history enthusiasts at Kew Court House” Monique diMittina.

diMattina’s upcoming musical spotlights the life of Australian literary figure Stella Maria Sarah Miles Franklin, author of ‘My Brilliant Career’ and ‘All That Swagger’. Through songs, gossip and Miles Franklin’s own words, the soon to launch musical will feature an all-star troupe.
