Acting as a conversation between the wealthy elite and planet earth itself, ‘Learner in an Alpha’ riffs on the environmental damage caused by capitalism and greed.

“How’d you feel when the climate change report came out? Like you wanted to eat your own socks and curl up in the compost bin? Personal fatigue just can’t be an excuse, so we’re rolling this one out in our own fashion,” said MOD CON of the single.

Pitting surfy riffs and a tempered rhythm against frontwoman Erica Dunn’s distinct vocals, the track mirrors the urgency and power of its lyrical themes.

‘Learner in an Alpha’ comes hand-in-hand with a film clip from local filmaker Sophia Mero, weaving together collage, animation, found footage and green-screen recordings.
