Today’s MICF Daily News:

– The Tuxedo Cat was forced to close one of the venue’s two rooms following an inspection by a council inspector last night, causing four shows to be cancelled. Shows cancelled included Juliet MeyersRussell McGiltonPicture This!, andLe Foulard. Other shows scheduled for the venue, including Daniel Kitson took place in a temporary room. According to venue officials, all shows will take place at the Cat today, but be sure to follow @micfdaily for further updates as they come to hand.

– The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has added another film screening to the 2013 schedule. The Bitter Buddah, a documentary about American comedian Eddie Pepitone will be screened on Saturday, April 6 at 4pm. The documentary details Pepitone’s late rise in the American alt-comedy scene, while struggling personal issues. Pepitone, a guest of the festival, will also feature in the Headliners show from April 2nd through 7th, with a late night solo show on the 5th. Tickets for all three shows are on sale now at Ticketmaster.

– triple j will be bringing back their popular Good Az Friday event tomorrow at the Melbourne Town Hall. The live broadcast will be hosted by JJJ breakfast presenters Alex Dyson and festival act Tom Ballard; and feature comedians Dave CallanSam Simmons, Tripod, Mel Buttle, and special Easter guest Father Bob Maguire. Proceedings kick off at noon, and entry is free.

– If you need more Tom Ballard in your life, he will be at Saturday’s taping of local podcast I Love Green Guide Letters. Hosted by previous MICF Daily guest Steele Saunders, the show takes a humorous look at the letter’s of The Age newspaper’s Green Guide section. Joining Tom and Steele will be Cup Fever hostSam Pang, and IMDb updater Tony Martin. The show kicks off Saturday at 4pm, tickets from Ticketmaster.

– Sarah Millican has had to cut her festival run short. Originally scheduled for the first fortnight of the festival, Millican run includes shows tonight through Tuesday April 2. In addition to the change, Millican’s venue for shows on tonight, tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday have been moved from the Victoria Hotel to the Forum Theatre. If you are a ticket holder for shows from Wednesday April 3 onwards, contact Ticketmaster on 1300 660 013 to move into another performance.

Festival Club returns to MICF with a top lineup. Tommy Little hosts and is joined by Mat KenneallyIliza ShlesingerNath ValvoFelicity WardPaul Foot, and Aunty Donna. The show kicks off 11:30 tonight at the Hi-Fi Bar, tickets on the door.

– Also returning tonight is Dom Romeo’s great interview show Stand-Up Sit Down: Comics in Conversation is at the Victoria Hotel. Dom has said that the guest cannot be announced ahead of the show, which can only mean someone big!
