After over 15 successful years, Melbourne’s iconic rooftop bar Madame Brussels is closing its doors for good. The venue owners say the devastating impact of the pandemic forced their decision.

- The venue will honour existing bookings until it closes, but will otherwise be walk-ins only

Situated in the heart of the CBD on Bourke St, the third-floor terrace bar has been hit hard by Melbourne’s many lockdowns and ongoing restrictions.
Announcing the impending closure via Good Food, Madame Brussels co-owner and founding hostess Paula Scholes, aka Miss Pearls, said the venue was operating at about 20 per cent of its usual business due to the lack of people visiting the CBD.
One of Melbourne’s first hidden rooftop bars, Madame Brussels has attracted Melburnians and tourists alike for the past decade-and-a-half with its colourful, garden party aesthetic, high tea menu, and stunning city views.
Existing bookings up until the final day of trade will be honoured but the venue will otherwise operate on a walk-ins-only basis until it closes.
