Puccini in the Park

Giacomo Puccini composed some of the most enduringly popular operas, including Tosca, La Bohème and Madama Butterfly. The MSO and internationally acclaimed singers Hui He and Paul O’Neill perform selections from these operas and more, conducted by Xu Zhong.
When We Were Young

The full range of the Orchestra is on display at this performance that celebrates young Australian composers and performers, and concluding with Sibelius’ majestic Fifth Symphony. Join them from 6pm for a performance by Melbourne Youth Orchestra!
Summer Serenade: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Rossini
- Wednesday 28 February
Be serenaded under the stars by the music of Rossini’s Overture to L’Italiana in Algeri, the sumptuous sounds of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, and two Beethoven favourites – his Coriolan Overture and First Symphony.
