The stalls
Soong Kee Beef Noodle began as a pushcart in downtown Kuala Lumpur before becoming a Malaysian staple. Their signature dish features springy wheat noodles with fresh beef tripe, beef balls and beef brisket.
Siong Huat Bah Kut Teh brings traditional Klang-style pork rib soup to Melbourne. This iconic eatery has served deeply flavourful, soul-warming bowls for generations.
Hong Lai Hokkien Mee specialises in Malaysian-style stir-fried noodles using the masterful wok’s breath technique. Their signature moonlight hor fun features a raw golden egg yolk that gleams against dark noodles. The dish combines fresh ingredients with handmade seasoning blends for authentic late-night street food vibes.
Kam Heong Braised Duck has operated since 1976, perfecting their teochew-style preparation. The duck slow-cooks for five to six hours with eight aromatic herbs. This process creates tender, flavourful meat with light herbal fragrance, served alongside tangy pickled vegetables.
Koon Kee WanTan Mee pioneered authentic wonton noodles with springy egg noodles and handmade minced pork wontons. Their charred barbecue pork belly adds smoky depth to each bowl. The restaurant also offers dry-style wonton mee topped with braised mushrooms and tender chicken feet over dark soy sauce noodles.
Uncle Beh serves legendary pork noodles with garlicky pork bone soup. His bowls feature springy noodles, juicy meatballs and tender pig’s kidney. The dry version showcases rich dark soy-coated noodles topped with crispy fried lard for maximum flavour impact.
Kampung Nasi Lemak represents Nasi Lemak Fatty, a local KL favourite since 2013. The founder built his reputation from roadside stalls to a beloved OUG eatery. Their signature nasi lemak with ayam goreng berempah includes coconut rice, sambal, fried anchovies, peanuts, fried egg, cucumber and spiced chicken maryland, alongside daily offerings like beef rendang and curry fish.
