It’s finally here. The mysterious Melbourne Underground collective have unveiled the location and lineup for their first secret rave party.
The techno group have been stirring up hype over their secret events for months now, promising a series of retro dance parties just like the 80s. If you’ve never been able to catch a Berlin techno rave, this could be the solution.
The first party will be held in early December at 24 Moons in Northcote, and will feature DJs Dave Pham, Dean Benson, Morgan, Lucca Tan, Liam Waller and Temporary Secretary. Given the event is expected to start at 10.00pm, it’s safe to assume you’ll be raving until the early hours.
Melbourne Underground have big hopes of growing their elusive brand, with aspirations to become a record label, booking agency and music store. When asked by Beat what exactly is so underground about these parties, the anonymous event organiser simply replied: “You don’t have to explain [underground techno] to our audience, they get it.”
