Choir 3006 brings free community singing to Southbank.

Choir 3006, a new free community choir, is launching in Southbank on Wednesday, 5 February 2025. Open to anyone who lives, works, plays, or learns in the area, the choir invites participants to take part in weekly lunchtime drop-in singing sessions.

Led by dynamic choral conductor Renee Heron, Choir 3006 offers a social and musical escape from the daily grind. No prior music training or experience is necessary, making it accessible to everyone.

Sessions will run during school terms:

  • Wednesdays
  • Melbourne Recital Centre
  • 12.15–1pm

This initiative tackles urban loneliness by fostering social connections through music. Its convenient lunch-hour scheduling ensures local workers and residents can join without interrupting their daily routines.

Attendance is casual, but interested participants are encouraged to register their interest to receive updates and further details. For more information and to register, visit Melbourne Recital Centre.
