Tanglewood Music & Arts Festival operates with capped numbers and reinvests all proceeds back into production and artist fees. Located two hours northeast of Melbourne in Thornton, the festival spans acoustic, electronic, and live band performances alongside art installations, workshops, and roving entertainment.
The event includes dedicated spaces for families, healing areas, jam sessions, and craft markets. Organisers enforce environmental policies including bans on plastic bottles, nangs, and glitter, while encouraging attendees to take all waste home. Food and craft vendors source locally where possible, and the site operates as BYO with a strict no-glass policy.
Between the music program, punters can explore art galleries, catch workshops, or utilise the children’s activity areas. Local craft beers, cider, and wine are available on-site for those not bringing their own refreshments.
