Meadow just beefed up its lineup with Camp Cope, Mo’Ju, Ella Sweeney and more

Hold onto your hats, the annual Meadow festival lineup just got even tastier.

With a stellar lineup already announced for the festival’s eighth instalment of music, camping and good times, Otways music festival Meadow couldn’t resist inviting more of their favourite local artists to the lineup for 2022.

Joining the cherished Victorian surf coast festival from March 25-27, Camp Cope, Mo’Ju, Karate Boogaloo, Luen, In2stellar, Placement, Water Streets, Don Glori, Ella Sweeney and Charlie McCosh, plus DJs curating the “Spaces Between” with sets from DJ Friday, Sosefina, VQ and DJ Swirl!

Local Otways artist from the small regional town of Gerangamete Watty Thompson also joins the lineup as the victor of Meadow’s local band competition. Thompson will play alongside this year’s menagerie of artists, opening the festival’s proceedings with the first live set on Friday afternoon.

Joining this fresh round of artists will be previously announced acts Methyl Ethel, Tropical Fuck Storm, Maple Glider, MOD CON, Fantastic Man, Gabriella Choen and Youth Group for three days and two nights of audiovisual explorations live from the Bambra Bowl stage from Friday 25 – Sunday 27 March 2022.

With a third Grammy nomination up for grabs this year, unfortunately, Hiatus Kaiyote will no longer be performing at Meadow and will instead be making their way to the US to attend the coveted awards ceremony in 2022.

Although it’s BYO, the locals are still involved and available to nourish your minds, hearts, souls and stomachs, with a variety of food and drinks all handpicked by the best from around the region. This year you’ll find the likes of Pete’s Woodfired Pizza (Aireys Inlet), Perla Tacos (Torquay), Tin Can Alley Cafe (Lorne), Gypsy Burger (Torquay), Little Things Big Things Coffee (Torquay), Salt Brewing Company (Aireys Inlet), Heroes Vineyard (Pennyroyal), Great Ocean Road Gin (Aireys Inlet), Dinny Goonan Wines (Bambra), and Livewire Wines (Bellarine Peninsula), with festival favourites Hulms Pies (Colac) available at the bar alongside drink specials Wild Blackberry Negroni, Escape To The Country, and Nan’s Spicy Marg.

A festival guided by inward-looking, outward-thinking localised offerings, there will also be film screenings with Meadow’s small screen cinema Glow Relaxo, a tree-planting program and volunteers, all handpicked and carefully curated to support and celebrate Australian artists, voices, initiatives and businesses.

Final Release tickets and pre-pitched, no-fuss glamping tents are moving fast, with Bambra Express bus transfer passes from Melbourne, Geelong or Torquay also on sale until Monday 11 March. Spaces are extremely limited so don’t sleep on it.

Clean out your tents and eskies, pack your bags and don’t forget your dancing shoes, the festival’s eighth instalment will undoubtedly be another one for the history books.

Meadow is happening from Friday, March 25 until Sunday, March 27 2022 in Bambra, Victoria. Get your tickets here
