Escape the rat race to the picturesque Otway Hinterlands this March. The much-loved boutique music festival Meadow (previously known as By The Meadow) is back for 2022.
Great news local festival lovers. The annual three-day and two-night celebration will return to the lush farmland hamlet of Bambra (Victoria’s enchanting Otway Surf Coast region) from March 25-27, 2022, promising to be yet another unforgettable auditory experience, whilst adhering to all the new COVID-guidelines of course.

While we don’t have eyes on the lineup just yet (this is due to drop on Tuesday, November 30 at 9am), judging from previous years it will be an exciting testament to the sheer diversity of local talent which forms our thriving music landscape.
This will mark the festival eighth edition, following the success of 2021’s successful event in April – managing to be one of just a handful of local events that were able to go ahead this year. As evidenced by the rapid sellout time of tickets, Meadow’s 2021 addition boasted its most impressive lineup to date, featuring the likes of Surprise Chef, Close Counters, C Frim, Bones and Jones, The Seven Ups, Private Function, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and more. With only 1,000 lucky punters in attendance, collectively swaying and sinkin’ some cans on the hill; being back at a festival was something that no one in attendance took for granted.

As for the 2022 festival, limited release tickets are on sale now for $230. The ticket includes the full 3-day, 2-night Meadow experience with camping. Car passes and bus transfer tickets are also available for purchase.
Oh, and did we mention the festival is a BYO event as well? Between tickets, travelling, food, merch, accommodation, and gumboots, you can end up spending quite the pretty penny on a weekend of fun and music, but these guys clearly have your best interests at heart. Embrace the privilege of bringing your own booze but just remember to leave the glass at home.
