The US hard rockers are performing just two shows in Australia, Sydney on Monday March 26 and Brisbane on Wednesday March 28. Mastodon will be joined by Gojira, a French band that has been exploring the extremes of music since 1996. Tickets for the headline shows go on sale on Friday January 19, with pre-sale tickets available from Wednesday January 17.
Mastodon formed in 2000, and since then they have made the most of their time. Their cerebral metal casts shadows over pop culture, creating common ground between hard rock and mainstream. Performing at events from Coachella, Bonnaroo and Download to Sonisphere, not to mention every festival in between, they’ve sold out shows around the world.
Mastodon has received critical acclaim including Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance nominations at the 2007, 2014 and 2015 Grammy Awards. They performed ‘Show Yourself’ live on Jimmy Kimmel in 2017.
