Long recognised as a Spring festival celebrating music, food, wine and community, the long-awaited event will now take place over the long weekend of 11-13 March 2022, promising a glorious autumn weekend away in the Yarra Valley.

Formally known as the Marysville Jazz and Blues Weekend, the festival will be bringing along a lineup of jazz, soul and country favourites, including roots duo Pierce Brothers, alt-country trailblazer Freya Josephine Hollick, and Australia’s leading jazzman James Morrison with his Motown Experience.

Managing to secure the entire lineup previously announced for their postponed 2021 event, the festival will also host the likes of Brooke Taylor, Julian James & The Moonshine State, Jess Parker, Julian & His Lady, Geoff Achison & The Souldiggers, and Blues Roulette with Jimi Hocking, Nardia and Jesse Valac.

Rounding out the bill for the signature Yarra Ranges event include Dan Dinnen, Bobby Valentine & The Band of Renown, Velvet and JD Delves Band.

“Unfortunately again 2021 was not our year and we were unable to bring this much-loved event to Marysville. We are excited though that the Marysville Music Weekend will push on in 2022,” says event director Bill Bate.

“This weekend is a showcase event in our region, bringing locals and visitors from far and wide. Hold onto your ticket or grab one if you haven’t already as the March event will be one not to miss. We’re pumped about the new direction of the new brand of the Marysville Music Weekend.”

To help with COVID safety, the festival will be split into four separate concert sessions over three days – a Friday evening session, Saturday afternoon session, Saturday evening session and Sunday afternoon session. You can purchase either single-day sessions or a three-day session if you’re keen to party the entire weekend.

A music-filled weekend away in the countryside with some of the region’s best food and drink… What could be better?
