Celebrating the release of Plastic Bouquet, Williams’ 2020 collaborative record with Canadian act Kacy & Clayton, An Evening With Marlon Williams is the artist’s first solo tour in six years. You can expect an intimate solo evening of album favourites and new, unheard material.

An Evening With Marlon Williams first toured around Williams’ home country, New Zealand, earlier this year, encompassing 27 sold out shows and a surprise live duet with Lorde, where they covered Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Tougher Than The Rest’.

Aside from his critically acclaimed discography, and reputation as “a once in a generation talent”, Williams has toured and performed with Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Brandi Carlisle and, of course, The Boss himself.

Drawing on country and folk influences, Williams’ self-titled debut was released to wide acclaim, followed a few years later by Make Way For Love, met with an equally rapturous response. Plastic Bouquet‘s arrival coincided with an NPR Tiny Desk concert, constructed remotely with Kacy & Clayton joining Williams from the other side of the world in Saskatoon, Canada.

Marlon Williams comes to Melbourne Recital Centre on Thursday September 23 and Friday September 24. Grab tickets here.
