Slept on this when it dropped a month ago after, but goddamn, this is a jam. Mark Ronson does what he does best, piecing together vintage sonic touchstones into something decidedly modern, Uptown Funk acting as a pastiche of funk hooks, almost to the point of overload, but sticking the landing with irresistible aplomb. And ol’ mate Bruno is a beast on the mic.
