They Saw a Thylacine goes back to a September morning in 1936, when the last known Tasmanian tiger died in captivity at a Hobart Zoo. The story of a zookeeper’s daughter and a thylacine tracker won the Best Performance at the 2013 Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Standout Performer Award at the New Zealand Fringe Festival.
