Bunnings Goes Beyond brings festival vibes to Port Melbourne with Mallrat and DJ Cooper Smith this weekend, 22 November.

After last year’s viral Bunnings Warehouse Party had Aussies losing it over the unexpected venue choice, Bunnings is back with another pop-up gig. This time it’s partnering with Beyond The Valley for Bunnings Goes Beyond, a free pre-party featuring Mallrat and DJ Cooper Smith – two artists from the BTV 2025 lineup.

Mallrat and DJ Cooper Smith will transform the warehouse into a one-night-only music venue on Saturday 22 November, bringing summer festival energy to the timber yard. Running as an alcohol-free event from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, the gig focuses on celebrating local music community with Bunnings team members firing up the iconic BBQ to raise funds for Support Act, the music industry’s charity delivering crisis relief services to musicians, managers, crew and music workers.

Spots for this surprise Mallrat gig are limited and expected to go fast, with registrations opening at midday on Wednesday 19 November through Bunnings’ website and the artists’ social channels. Beyond the shed performance, Bunnings is running a competition to send 10 fans who missed out on BTV tickets to the ultimate festival experience, with two lucky winners and their mates scoring VIP tickets and fully set-up campsites.

Bunnings will also be on the ground at Beyond The Valley from 28 December to 1 January, positioning seven Helper Hubs throughout the campground staffed by team members ready to assist with campsite setups. Each hub features branded toolboxes stocked with essentials, with tools operated exclusively by Bunnings staff. Roaming crews will provide hands-on support throughout the event, while the iconic sausage sizzle will run on arrival day alongside gift card giveaways.

Beyond The Valley returns to Barunah Plains on Wadawurrung Country for its 10th birthday edition. Bunnings is positioning itself as the festival prep destination, stocking everything from tents and gazebos to camp chairs, fairy lights and eskies for those heading to BTV and other summer festivals.

Port Melbourne’s timber yard transformation coincides with Australian Music Month, celebrating homegrown talent and local crews. Last year’s Bunnings Warehouse Party proved warehouses can work as unconventional music venues, sparking social media chaos and demonstrating Australians’ appetite for unexpected gig locations.

Bunnings Goes Beyond leans into that energy while supporting the local music industry through fundraising for Support Act.
