Editor’s Note

People wonder where I get my passion and love for live music from, but last week while sitting at home watching the ARIA’s with my mum – around conversations about why Dave Le’aupepe is the greatest frontman in this country and the importance of A.B. Original’s mainstream acclaim – she told me about her days following Sherbet around. My mum was the ultimate gig pig (don’t tell her I said that) and she really bloody loved Sherbet. I didn’t know it at the time, but a week later I’d get to write an editor’s note (yes, this one) in a magazine that has Daryl Braithwaite on the cover. Whether you’re a long time fan like my mum, or ‘The Horses’ is your newfound jam, it’s pretty clear that Dazz is an absolute Aussie legend, and it’s a total honour to have him right up front.

But we ain’t no one trick ponies, so we filled the rest of the mag with pure goodness too. Funnyman Matt Okine chats about his upcoming show, we’ve also the goods on some pretty great festivals like Grampians and Blues at The Briars, and we hear from The Living End and Manchester Orchestra.

To top it off , if you need some Xmas inspo we’ve got you covered there too. What are you waiting for? Dig in.
