The range of entertainment on offer includes winning short films, premiers, music clips and feature films. Highlights for the event include best short film from the Cannes and Sundance festival, Deeper Than Yesterday, animation by multi-award winning animator Darcy Prendergast Rippled and world premiere The Tea Party alongside last years winner Cameron McCulloch’s twisted comedy voiced by Samuel Johnson and Steve Bastoni. Following Astor’s opening night, the festival continues the next night at Melbourne’s DV8, premiering the debut sick comedy feature film Dace Decklan: Private Eye, and Luke Launer’s feature debut of invasion thriller The Count.
