M_N – A new street dance-theatre show by Carmen Yih aka hitahhchi, co-created with Giuliano ‘Gino’ Hammal aka Kid Trip aka 24, and Kihmo Quintela.
Combining expressive and unfiltered freestyle street dance, and an evocative soundtrack by local and international artists including MQ, April Guest aka Byte Crusher, Samora Pinderhughes, and Gorilla Beatz; M_N tells the story of two young men searching for their identity under the crushing pressures of current standards of masculinity.
A response to increasing awareness surrounding the impacts of hypermasculinity on youth mental health; M_N is, at its heart, a reminder of how healthy and diverse expressions of masculinity can thrive when given the guidance and support to develop.
