Melbourne's biggest rock 'n' roll block party LuliePalooza is back at Victoria Park on Saturday 21 March.

After four packed editions, Lulie Tavern’s LuliePalooza is stepping things up for its fifth instalment with a complete site overhaul, upgraded accessibility features and a lineup that’s genuinely stacked. Kicking off at 11.30am, the festival leans into family-friendly vibes early before ramping into full-throttle chaos as the day rolls on.

LuliePalooza 5 comes with one massive drawcard: Private Function will be playing their final show ever. If you’ve been putting off catching them live, this is your last chance to witness the mischief in action.

Big changes are coming to the festival layout this year. Moving the main stage to the south-west corner of Victoria Park opens up more grassy hangout space, better shade under the big gums and improved sightlines for the whole crowd. Accessibility upgrades include viewing platforms and an LED screen, making it easier for everyone to lock into the action.

Beyond Private Function’s swan song, the lineup delivers heavy hitters across the board. Grace Cummings brings a voice that stops crowds mid-sentence before tearing everything wide open. Briggs’ new politically loaded punk-metal project Big Nome makes an appearance, ready to shake things up with aggressive energy.

WILSN delivers big soulful hooks, while Greek-Australian punk siblings Frenzee arrive with fast, thrashy riffs. Benjamin Stewart from Slowly Slowly steps up with his full band for one of his first performances since dropping his new solo album in December. Expect something different from the Slowly Slowly sound.

Rounding out the bill are Georgia Knight, cult favourites Grim Rhythm, The Vovos, The Gnomes, Smith & Western Jury and The Deadnecks. It’s a mix that represents Melbourne’s rock landscape properly, spanning punk, metal, soul and everything in between.

Food comes courtesy of Lulie Burgers and Dingo Ate My Taco, with cold drinks flowing all day. First-timers will spot the Lulie Lovers VIP Bar featuring a secret musical guest yet to be announced. LuliePalooza Showbags make their debut too, packed with gear from Archie Rose, Smoke Dreams, HAVN, Heaps Normal and more.

Expect skate demos, the beloved bucking bull and all the extra nonsense the Lulie Tavern crew have become known for. Kids tickets, Mob tickets and discounted Lulie Lovers member rates are all available.

PBS presents LuliePalooza 5, proving once again that Abbotsford knows how to throw a block party. Tickets are on sale now.
