It’s been a year and a half since COIVD-19 smashed its way into our lives, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.

Melbourne’s live music scene, which was hit particularly hard by last year’s lengthy lockdowns, was just beginning to blossom again when another outbreak forced us back into stay at home mode two weeks ago.

We miss mosh pits and packed bandrooms. We miss being unsure whether the sweat you’re covered in is your own, spit flying in all directions, spilled beers, screamed lyrics and the myriad little moments that make live music so special.

So, we thought we’d take a little look at some of our favourite gigs in recent memory. From international visitors to homegrown favourites, here are a handful of the most memorable Melbourne shows from the past few years.
