Live at The Count’s: Richard Pavlidis

Richard Pavlidis is a saxophonist and composer from Melbourne. Educated at the Victorian College of the Arts, Richard has toured Australia, New Zealand and Europe and has performed at major festivals including Splendour in the Grass, The Manly Jazz Festival in Sydney, and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Richard’s debut solo album, Without Within was released in 2019 and supported by an Australian tour. Music from this album can be found in the Australian Jazz Real Book and the Australian Jazz Museum.

Richard’s newest album, Iconography was released in June 2023. Jazzfuel (UK) describe it as having ‘…airtight arrangements, virtuosic improvisation and a slough of highly memorable earworms of melodies’.

Tonight he performs his original material with Mike Pensini (piano), Owen Downie (bass) and Darryn Farrugia (drums).
