Before Not the Actual Events arrives Friday US time, the band delves into contorted melodies on a single which proves difficult to digest at first glance. In reference to the year-ending release, lead singer Trent Reznor alludes to it being “an unfriendly, fairly impenetrable record that we needed to make.”
The industrial rock band are also expected to release a quadruple-vinyl version of The Fragile: Deviations 1, containing unreleased material along with vinyl editions of earlier records Broken, The Downward Spiral and The Fragile in 2017.
